Summary:
Implement the Configuration Manager 2012 operational plan, write reports, and write automation, support production, train staff, and review best practices using Configuration Manager 2012.
Responsibilities:
Create a project plan/timeline for the implementation of all activities within the scope of this Statement of Work (SOW).
Implement a transitional/migration plan provided by Microsoft for Configuration Manager 2012.
Support the virtual test environments for Configuration Manager and reporting data.
Write automation programs/scripts to programmatically import packages, collections, advertisements, and other queries.
Write/migrate System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2012 Web reports and data.
Re-write/migrate SCCM 2007 Web reports and data.
Provide production support for software distribution and reporting data.
Record recommended practices for Configuration Manager.
Mentor and provide guidance to cross-functional teams.
Provide a project plan/timeline.
Provide weekly status reports on the implementation of the transitional/migration plan provided by Microsoft.
Document configuration changes to the virtual test environments for Configuration Manager and reporting data.
Document scripting automation document.
Document SCCM 2007 and SCCM 2012 Web reports and data.
Detail documentation concerning issues encountered and the solutions/alternatives encountered in the Production environment.
Conduct training sessions and document recommended practices for Configuration Manager for the team.
Provide weekly production status reports to the Work Order Manager.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Senior-level technician with extensive object-oriented and Web programming experience in SQL, Java, JavaScript, VBScript, VB.NET, ASP, ASP.NET, C languages, HTML, and XML.
Senior-level technician with extensive experience in SQL Server 2012, Server 2012, Server 2008, and Windows 7.
Senior-level technician with extensive experience using Systems Management Software (SMS) and SCCM, including experience with SMS 2003 and SCCM 2007.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
Should have strong basic (Windows) system administration experience.
Should have strong requirements planning and project implementation skills and be able to work with internal technical staff and outside contractors to deliver results.
Worked in an ITIL and PMO environment and can work tasks, deliverables, changes, etc.
Experience implementing best-practice processes and procedures.
Education Requirements:
Doctorate Degree Plus 10 years of experience, if Master's Degree must have at least 12 years of experience, if Associate Degree must have at least 16 years of experience, if Bachelors Degree must have at least 14 years of experience, and if High School/GED must have at least 18 years of experience.
