This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare (CM), Hospital and Ambulatory Policy Group (HAPG), Division of Ambulatory Services (DAS), in (Baltimore County), Woodlawn, Maryland.

Working in the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare (CM), Hospital and Ambulatory Policy Group (HAPG), in the Division of Ambulatory Services (DAS), you will serve as a Health Insurance Specialist to develop, evaluate, and implement Medicare policies for ambulatory services, Federal Qualified Health Center Services (FQHCS), and coding. Specifically you will:
develop, evaluate and implement Medicare policy related to payment and scope of benefits for ambulatory services;
prepare issue papers, specifications for regulations, issuances, manuals, reports to Congress and correspondence on assigned policy area;
provide technical assistance to central office, regions, states, contractors, etc., to solve problems related to policies for ambulatory services by participating in meetings, answering inquiries, going onsite, doing special analyses, providing training, refining instructions, etc.

_In order to qualify for the GS-9, you must meet the following:_ You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the 7 grade level in the Federal Government to include assisting in one or more of the following activities: (1) analyzing, evaluating or implementing policies related to payment for clinical diagnostic laboratory test services or other ambulatory services (i.e. medications, ambulance transports, rural health clinics, or other Federally Qualified Health Centers); (2) conducting analytical studies to evaluate the effectiveness of healthcare programs and services provided to beneficiaries.
- OR - Substitution of Education for Experience: You may substitute education for specialized experience at the GS 9 level by possessing a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position being filled.
- OR - Combination of Experience and Education: Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the GS-7 grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9. Therefore, only education in excess of 1 full year of graduate level education may be used to combine education and experience.

- OR - Substitution of Education for Experience: You may substitute education for specialized experience at the GS 11 level by possessing 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or LL.M., if related to the position being filled.
- OR - Combination of Experience and Education: Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the GS-9 grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-11. Therefore, only education in excess of a master's or equivalent graduate degree; 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, may be used to combine education and experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
