Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking a Telecom Project Specialist 3 who will support several projects a large federal agency. These positions will be located in Woodlawn, MD.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Health Systems Management operating unit, which focuses on Healthcare IT solutions for our Federal, State, and Local government clients. The qualified candidate should also have strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
Description of Work:
Provide support to a nationwide telecommunications system.
Work with various telecommunications vendors to ensure that trouble tickets are resolved within contracted Service Level Agreements.
Coordinate telecommunications project specific installs for new services installations to ensure that new services meet agency expectations.
Provide technical and operational support for nationwide integrated telecommunications networks.
Work closely with the customer to achieve telecommunications objectives through supporting the planning of voice, video and data integration required to meet those objectives.
Work with telecommunications engineers and project management teams to ensure the success of ongoing and upcoming projects.
Provide requirements analysis for telecommunications and services.
Facilitate and participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and agency vendors.
Maintain close working relationships with stakeholders to ensure the success of telecommunications objectives.
Provide technical and project management support to internal customers
Basic Qualifications for a Telecom Project Specialist 3:
Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relative experience, Master's degree and 4 years of relative experience, or 10 years of relative experience in an IT field in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with telecommunications solutions
Minimum of 3 years of experience providing Project Management and coordination support
Minimum of 2 years of experience with prior large scale/national telecommunications support
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with telecommunications equipment such as multiplexers and network routers
Minimum of 1 year of experience with Voice, Video, Presence and Ethernet Services
Excellent interpersonal and strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be a self-starter and able to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
Must be US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
3 years or more of experience maintaining, operating and managing integrated telecommunications networks
1 year or more experience advising and coordinating maintenance efforts for telecommunications infrastructures ensuring that SLAs are met
1 year or more experience providing technical advice on operational capabilities and requirements for telecommunications systems and services

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
