Experience:
You must have at least 52 weeks of Specialized Experience as described below. This experience must have been gained in a federal position at or above GS-11 OR (if your position/experience is in another federal payscale or outside of federal service) by performing duties equivalent to those performed in a federal position at or above GS-11. This specialized experience must have provided you with sufficient knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the functions of this GS-1008-12 Interior Designer position. Specialized Experienceis work that is primarily concerned with the design and alteration of interior spaces to meet functional and aesthetic needs. Typical duties include -- identifying, researching or solving problems pertaining to the function or quality of the interior environment; -- performing services relative to interior spaces, such as design analysis, space planning or aesthetics; -- applying knowledge of interior construction, including building components, building codes, equipment, materials and furnishings; -- preparing drawings or documents relative to the design of interior spaces in order to enhance and protect the health, safety and welfare of the public; -- coordinating and integrating mechanical, electrical and structural engineering disciplines within the interior context; and -- managing projects (e.g.,, developing cost estimates, evaluating bid proposals, reviewing construction documents, participating in on-site construction visits, conducting pre- and post-occupancy evaluations, developing standards for efficient space management, etc). NOTE:
This position requires the performance of contracting duties to accomplish the architectural and engineering contract work for the agency. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
